Mr. Earl Foster Weeks, age 82, of Opp, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at his home.

Mr. Weeks was the Superintendent of Opp City Schools from 2004 – 2008, and served in the school system for 32 years. He was also a Master Mason for 40 years, and served in the Army Reserves and National Guard for 25 years. He was an excellent leader, mentor, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

Mr. Earl Foster Weeks is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gayle Greenwood Weeks; daughter, Paige Weeks Barnett & husband, Darrell; son, Patrick Weeks & wife, Kristie; grandchildren, Mary-Elle Gomillion & husband, Tyler, Abigayle Rogers & husband, Brandon, Isabelle Barnett, Anthony Stumpner and Foster Weeks; great-grandchildren, Eliza Gomillion, Mack Rogers and Ellery Gomillion; and sister-in-law, Doris Weeks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian McDonald Weeks and John Gaston Weeks; and brothers, Harold Weeks and James Weeks & wife, Jane.

Funeral services for Mr. Earl Foster Weeks will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 9, 2025 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Jeff Stovall will be officiating with Jim Weeks, Scott Weeks, Hank Weeks, Todd Weeks, John Dee, Tyler Gomillion and Brandon Rogers serving as pallbearers.
