Mr. James Earl Jones, age 96, of Opp, Alabama passed away Monday, November 25, 2024 in the Opp Health & Rehab.

Mr. Jones is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, Gary Jones & Debbie, and Len Jones & Lisa; daughter & son-in-law, Susan Pyles & William; brother-in-law, Joe Mikel; sister-in-law, Annie "Boots" Kribs; grandchildren, William Jones & Margo, Jacob Jones & Amber, Tony Urdiales, Sherri Sanders & Matt, Brandon Pyles & Victoria, Tenicia Sconiers & Sashus; Chelsey Brown & C. J., and Sydney Jones; and great-grandchildren, George Henry, Cooper and Hattie Jones, Jack and Edie Sanders, Ayla Urdiales and Rin Louise, Artemis and Athena Pyles, Paris and London Hughes, Roman Sconiers, R. J. and Tasia Johnson and Madeline Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jacobs Jones; parents, Lena Cowen Jones & J. C. Jones; grandchildren, Joshua Len Jones and Cynthia Pyles; brother, Ned Jones; and sisters, Evelyn Mikel and Edith Calhoun.

Funeral services for Mr. James Earl Jones will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Brian Smith will be officiating with Lex Colquett, Robert Johnson, Jay Mikel, Rickey Mikel, Bobby Moore, Terry Calhoun and Kenneth Calhoun serving as pallbearers.
