Mr. Durwood Lamar Gooden, age 74, of Opp, Alabama died Sunday, June 7, 2020 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Bryant Gooden; son, Brad Gooden; daughter & son-in-law, Amanda Gooden Brock & Lee; sisters & brothers-in-law, Sheila Jane Turman & David and Terri Lynn Mikel & Ricky; sister-in-law, Yvonne Gooden; and 7 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Michael Gooden; and parents, Sara Reynolds Gooden & Durwood Byron Gooden.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am Friday, June 12, 2020 in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Adam Mikel & Doug Williams will be officiating with Wyatt Funeral Home directing.
