Mrs. Dorothy Galloway Dean, age 82, of Kinston passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in the Opp Health & Rehab.

Mrs. Dean is survived by her daughter, Drusilla Goldman & husband, Richard; sons, Anthony Dean & wife, Kim, Alton R. Dean, Samuel C. Dean & wife, Renae, and Daryl W. Dean & wife, Tracy; sister, Nora Kirkland; 19 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton L. Dean; and parents, Mona Malloy Galloway and Arie Galloway.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Galloway Dean will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 4, 2024 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rhoades Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Richard Goldman will be officiating with Cole Dean, Caden Dean, Mason Dean, Parker Ward, Devan Ward and Cameron Ray serving as pallbearers.
