She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Sue McCarty Jarrell; father, Jerry Wayne "Bear" Jarrell; maternal grandparents, Willie Mae Howard and Roland McCarty; and paternal grandparents, Ouida Hayden Jarrell and Jessie Jarrell.
Donna loved any event where family and friends were gathered - birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and Christmas especially. She loved children and anxiously awaited the birthday of each child, grandchild, niece, and nephew. Donna was a thoughtful gift-giver; she spoiled her family with personalized gifts and particularly enjoyed giving her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews desired gifts that were not necessarily "parent-approved".
Donna's love for children and cooking often intersected. Each Christmas she enjoyed creating memories through carefully planned craft activities with the kids followed by baking Christmas treats together. Donna was an excellent cook and among many cherished memories, she will be remembered for the coveted peanut butter balls she made for her family during the holidays in addition to other tasty treats.
Donna enjoyed her fur babies, her time working at Docs Country Store, and babysitting. She was a great friend, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister – her memory will be cherished, and she will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
