Donna Lee Baldwin, 78, of Opp, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.
Donna was born in Westfield, NY, to Allen Beckman and Eva Marie Parker. She was a devoted military wife to her husband, Kelly Baldwin, and a loving mother to her three daughters, Leigh Johnson, Lisa Austin, and Lynda Carver. Her family was one of the greatest joys of her life, and she was blessed with seven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Donna spent 25 years faithfully supporting her husband throughout his military career. Her commitment to the military community continued through her dedicated involvement with the VFW Auxiliary, where she helped care for and support veterans. She was also a devoted Baptist, and her faith was at the core of who she was. Throughout her life, Donna held jobs that reflected her caring nature and her desire to take care of others.
Donna is survived by her husband, Kelly Baldwin; her daughters, Leigh Johnson, Lisa Austin and her husband, Andy Austin, and Lynda Carver and her husband, Vernon Carver; and her seven grandchildren: Mark Kaonohi; Jaqulyn Kaonohi; Arlene Raney and her husband, Paul Raney; Toni Fleetwood and her husband, Nick Fleetwood; Dustin Kilian and his girlfriend, Alex; Cheyenne Hobby and her husband, Jason Hobby; and Reyna McLeod. She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Beckman, and her mother, Eva Marie Beckman.
Donna will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, woman of faith, and friend. She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and many memories that will continue to be treasured.
A viewing will be held at Wyatt Funeral Home in Opp, Alabama, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. A separate interment service will be held at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort in Spanish Fort, Alabama, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
