Mr. David Shawn Reeves, 65, of Kinston, Alabama, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

David was a man who lived with quiet determination and unwavering dedication. Despite facing medical challenges in his later years, he never allowed these ailments to stop him. He worked tirelessly- whether working as a lineman, tending to his chicken houses, playing with his grandchildren and dogs, or lending a hand to a friend or family member. Even in his final hours, David remained steadfast in service to those he loved most. He taught by example- through quiet acts of love, unspoken sacrifices, and the way he always tried to show up when he was needed the most. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sue (Clark) Reeves and Samuel Reeves, as well as his brother, Darrell Reeves. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lynn Weeks Reeves, and their loving children, Josh (NiCole) Reeves and Jessica (Robert) Johnson. His legacy and spirit is also carried on through his grandchildren, Annistyn Reeves, Ray Johnson, and Sam Johnson. His other loving, surviving family further include his mother-in-law, Margaret Weeks, his "little" sister, Susan Day and the late Greg Day, and his brother-in-law, Mark (Mary) Weeks.

Funeral services for Mr. David Shawn Reeves will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 15, 2025 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel in Opp, Alabama with burial following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Kinston, Alabama. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Anthony Weeks and Ramsey Phillips will be officiating.
