Mr. Collis J. Cain, age 74, of Opp, Alabama passed away Friday, November 24, 2023 at his home.

Collis was 37 year retiree of the Alabama Army National Guard, a 20 year member of Opp Lodge 605, F & AM of Alabama, and a life-long member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. Along with the Alabama Army National Guard, he worked in the textile industry and at Ft. Rucker; and he also enjoyed farming outside of work.

Mr. Cain is survived by his grandchildren, Corey Wood & wife, Kayla, and Brittani Nicole Wood Rogers & husband, Andrew; brother, Ralph Cain; sisters, Mary Eunice Cain Spurlin & husband, Mac, and Lorene Elizabeth Cain Bannister; seven great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Pee Wee Clark. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Rene Cain Wood; sister, Annie Ruth Cain; parents, Odell Morris Cain and James Collis "Pete" Cain; and mother to his daughter, Mary Ann.

Funeral services for Mr. Collis J. Cain will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from Sweetwater Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sweetwater Baptist Church one hour prior to the service. Bro. Bobby Morgan will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Wiggins, Jerry Chancellor, Doyle Mills, Gary Hall, Virgil Sasser and Harold Clark with Pee Wee Clark, Jay Mikel, Victor Hall, Scotty McCart and John Davis serving as honorary pallbearers.
