Mrs. Clara H. Bowen, 90, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2022.

Mrs. Bowen graduated in 1950 from Jordan High School in Columbus, Georgia. She worked at Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company for several years before beginning her career at Truist (SunTrust) Bank in the Trust Department. Clara was a natural caregiver. While still working at Truist, she spent an enormous amount of time taking care of her father and her brother during their illnesses. After retiring from the bank, she spent most of her time working in her yard. She loved to be outside and took pride in having an immaculate yard and keeping the deer fed that came out of her woods. She enjoyed going on road trips with her son and daughter-in-law, especially trips to visit her "adopted" family in West Virginia. Clara was a member of Seale Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama.

Mrs. Bowen was preceded in death by her husband, Watson H. Bowen; parents, Clarence Hickman and Ethel Hickman; and brother, Clayton Hickman. She is survived by her son, Richard Bowen (Donna); sister, Bobbie Bozeman; and nephews, Randy Watson, Rob Hickman, and Mike Bozeman.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Gary Miller will be officiating.
