Mr. Chester Luther Carlisle, age 88, of Chunchula, Alabama passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 at his home.

Chester was born in 1936 to his late parents, Kumie Norris Carlisle and Luther Carlisle. He was a graduate of Murphy High School and later joined the Prichard Police Department. Chester proudly served his country in the US Army National Guard from 1961-1962.

Mr. Carlisle is survived by his wife, Shirley Helveston Carlisle; daughters, Rita Suteu & husband, George, Angie Carlisle Lee, and Ava Morrow & husband, Don; son, Tony Carlisle; and 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren & numerous great-great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Carlisle; sister, Shirley Richburg; and brother, Billy Ray Carlisle.

A graveside service for Mr. Chester Luther Carlisle will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Sweet Home Cemetery. Rev. Bruce McCormick will be officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
