Mr. Charlie Jefferson Rhodes, age 85, and Mrs. Sandra Elaine Knowles Rhodes, age 78, passed away at their home only one day apart. Mr. Charlie passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 and his devoted wife, Mrs. Elaine, joined him in heaven on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. They were married for 62 years.

Charlie and Elaine are survived by their two children, Christie Rhodes Young & husband, Robert, and Jeff Rhodes & wife, Alison; five grandchildren, Laura Kate Young Adkison & husband, Chase, Christian Rhodes Wilkerson & husband, Matt, Madelyn Rhodes Brown & husband, Will, Anna Young and Dawson Rhodes; and six great-grandchildren, Reid, Rhett & Rylan Adkison, and Madilyn, Kathrynn & Emersyn Wilkerson. Charlie is survived by his sister, Annette Free & husband, Bill. Elaine is survived by her sister, Emily Ann Tabb.

They were preceded in death by their granddaughter, Fallon Nicol Rhodes; his parents, Pearlie Lee Holloway Rhodes & Christopher Columbus Rhodes; her parents, Johnie Mae Holland Knowles & Burley Vester Knowles; and her sister, Virginia Sue Delk & husband, Bill.

In following with the wishes of Charlie and Elaine, a public service will not be held.
