Mr. Charles Edwin Spurlin, 79, of Opp died Sunday, April 17, 2016 in Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, April 21, 2016 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 at Wyatt Funeral Home.

Mr. Spurlin is survived by his step-son & daughter-in-law, Robby & Pam Messick; step-grandchildren, Justin Messick and Kimber Messick; brother & sister-in-law, Gordon & Frances Spurlin; nephews, Skipper Spurlin & Sharon and Cory Spurlin & Christie; 5 great nieces & nephews; and caregiver, Esther Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Raupack Spurlin; parents, Leroy William Spurlin & Velma Pearl Kirkland Spurlin; and brother, Donald Spurlin.

Phillip Rayburn will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Skipper Spurlin, Cory Spurlin, Cole Spurlin, Justin Messick, Larry Presley and Harold Sorrells.
