Mrs. Carrie Jane Rushing Cauley, age 73, of Opp, Alabama passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at her home.

Carrie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bruce Cauley; son, Corkie Cauley; daughters, Carmen Henderson & husband, Wally, Candi Grissett & husband, Larry, and Chasity Jackson & husband, Terrence; grandchildren, Justin (Whitney) Mooney, Alex (Alan) Willis, Chelsie (Brendan) Creech, Isabella Grissett, Luke Jackson and Drew (Jasmine) Henderson; great-grandchildren, Brentley McAllister, Judson Mooney, Dayton Creech, Madelyn Willis, Emmie Jo Creech, Ellie Willis and Kinsleigh Henderson; sister-in-law, Brenda Cauley; and cousins, Gayle Martin, Sue Anderson and Ricky Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny B. Rushing and Ethel Bell Watson Matthews & Lonnie Matthews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Jane Rushing Cauley will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 28, 2023 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Gary Miller will be officiating with special music by Jamie Bowers. Serving as pallbearers will be Toby Blair, Clint Bradshaw, Justin Messick, Brennan Creech, Brandon Bledsoe and Scott Smith with Langdon Stanley and Craig Strickland serving as honorary pallbearers.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pilots for Christ or DaySpring Hospice.
