Carmack
February 28, 1950 – April 22, 2025
Mrs. Brenda Kay Davis Carmack, age 75, of Opp, Alabama passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at her home.
Johnny and Brenda were high school sweethearts who were married on September 4, 1969. On July 14, 1971, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Leslie Ann. During the early years of their marriage, Johnny enrolled in the School of Pharmacy at Auburn University. During this time, Brenda was employed at the University. Upon Johnny's graduation, they returned to Opp for Johnny to practice pharmacy. For the next 25 years, Brenda worked at the USDA Farm Service Agency. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and gardening. She had well-groomed yards and beautifully cultivated flowers. Her great delight was spending time with her grandchildren, Taylor and John Nolen. After she was diagnosed with ALS, she fought a valiant battle to live life as well as possible. This battle ended with her peaceful death at her home with Johnny. Brenda will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
