Mr. Bobby Joe Hattaway, age 82, of Opp, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Hattaway is survived by his wife, Delores Harrelson Hattaway; daughters, DeAnna Ferguson, and Denise Clark & husband, Bobby; sister, Azie Truett; grandchildren, Douglas Hattaway, John Thomas Weed, R. D. Hunter Clark & Katelyn, Delana Jo Hattaway & Lee and Kate Ferguson; and great-grandchildren, Ava Blake Clark, Evie Clark, Jentry Powell and Kaden Powell. He was preceded in death by his son, Joey Hattaway; parents, Mattie Johnson Hataway and William Oates Hataway; sisters, Dean Walker and Annie Gilley; and brothers, Henry "Dooley" Hattaway, Jimmy Hataway and Billy Ray Hattaway.

A graveside service for Mr. Bobby Joe Hattaway will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 17, 2023 in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery (7638 Hwy 87, Elba, AL 36323). Jim Kelley will be officiating with R. D. Clark, Thomas Weed, Bobby Clark, Lee Powell, Cameron Harrison, Blake Turman and Douglas Hattaway serving as pallbearers.
