Mr. Billy Ray Ashberry, age 72, of Opp, Alabama died Friday, June 19, 2020 at his home.

Billy Ray is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Taylor Ashberry; daughters & sons-in-law, Kim Ashberry Hollinghead & Stephen, and Jackie Ashberry Williams & Peter; son & daughter-in-law, Ty Ashberry & Pam; sister, Martha Hawkins; grandchildren, Samantha Hollinghead, Clay Ashberry, Mary Ann Hollinghead, Cal Ashberry, Meredith Ashberry, Matt Ashberry and Brooke Williams; and niece, Dana Rogers & husband, Brian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lessie Tillman Ashberry & Luicoe Ashberry; brother-in-law, Jimmy Hawkins; and nephew, Ashley Hawkins.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Ray Ashberry will be held at 10 am Monday, June 22, 2020 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Garry Winstead and Jonathon Jones will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Pierce, Clay Pierce, Scott Kelley, Jimmy Flowers, Tommy Burgess and Jamie Bowers. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 Sunday evening at Wyatt Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Northern Heights Baptist Church in Opp, Alabama.

The family will be receiving friends at the Ashberry home, 114 Georgia Circle, Opp, Alabama 36467.
