Ms. Betty Parker Weeks, age 88, of Opp, Alabama passed away peacefully at The Crossings at Eastchase in Montgomery, Alabama, October 25, 2025.

Betty was born the third child (and only girl) of four born to Walter Thomas and Mollie Mae Parker. After graduating Opp High School in 1955, Betty's early work life in Opp included working for AOK Motor Lines where she excelled while multi-tasking as an accountant and scheduler. Betty met and married the love of her life, Ray Weeks in November 1958. Betty often mentioned that Ray Weeks was the only man for her and she continued to only love this man until the day she went home to be with her Jesus and her Ray in heaven.

Betty was very active in Opp in business and civic activities.  Betty was a partner of J&W Accounting, providing tax accounting and bookkeeping for a multitude of citizens in Opp and surrounding areas, as well as a partner in the Dairy Queen and the miniature golf course years later. Betty also was active in the Opp Business Professional Women's Club (BPW Club) and was instrumental in organizing many civic projects in Opp and surrounding areas. Betty served in all these capacities faithfully and gracefully. Her personality and smile were infectious, and she never met a stranger. She loved her Jesus, and she lived her life in a way that exhibited this to her friends and even casual acquaintances alike.

Betty is survived by her son Mark Weeks & wife Shelly Weeks; daughter Tina Kaufmann & husband Andy Kaufmann; brother John Parker & wife Jo Anne Parker; grandchildren, Adam Weeks, Parker Owen, Anna Douthit & husband McKelvy Douthit, John Thomas Owen & wife Maddie Owen; great grandchildren Bennett Owen, Lydia Douthit, and Hampton Owen. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ray Weeks, father Walter Thomas Parker, mother Mollie Mae Parker, father-in-law Will Weeks, mother in law Daisy Weeks, brothers WT Parker (& wife Dorothy Parker), Thomas Parker (& wife Fern Parker).

Memorial services for Ms. Betty Parker Weeks will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, November 8, 2025 from First Methodist Church in Opp, Alabama.  Visitation will be held one hour before starting at 11:00 am at the Church. Bro. Jeffrey Stovall will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests consideration of a memorial in Betty's name to the First Methodist Church in Opp, Alabama.
