Mrs. Betty Sue Rhodes Sessions, age 91, of Elba, Alabama passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at her home.
Mrs. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved the Lord. She was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church where she served many years as the church clerk.
Mrs. Sessions is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Charles Frederick "Freddie" Sessions & Linda, Davey Lee Sessions & Lynn, and Chris Alan Sessions & Shan; brother, Wilson Terrell Rhodes & wife, Joyce; sister-in-law, Sara Rhodes; grandchildren, Kasey Sessions Burnham & husband, Phillip, Nicole Bradley Sessions, Jayme Sessions, Jessie Sessions and Grayson Sessions & wife, Chancey; great-grandchildren, Bryce Burnham, Rylan Sessions, Kaylann Walters and Liam Walters; and special caregiver, Janis Puzar. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Horace Sessions; grandson, Chad Sessions; parents, Hettie Mae Thomas Rhodes and Clyde G. Rhodes; and brothers, Dorsey Lee Rhodes and Clyde T. Rhodes & wife, Marylene.
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Sue Rhodes Sessions will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022 from Fairview Baptist Church with burial following in Fairview Cemetery. Brian Sawyer and Donald Hall will be officiating. Dave Puzar, Jacob Davis, Bryce Sawyer, Hank Gaines, Jim Lunsford and Ricky Hughes will be serving as pallbearers with great-grandchildren, Bryce, Rylan, Kaylann and Liam, serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:30 pm until service time. The family will not be receiving friends at the home at any time prior to the service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Janis Puzar for the love, care and friendship she's provided their mother & grandmother over the years. They would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice & Home Health for their services.
The family requests the omission of flowers and memorials be made to Fairview Baptist Church or Fairview Cemetery, 3159 Hwy 87, Samson, Alabama 36477.
