Mrs. Betty Jean Gautney Jowers, age 88, of Opp, Alabama passed away Friday, March 29, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Jowers is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law; Glenn Jowers & Bobbie, and Stacey Jowers & Angela; brother, William J. "Billy" Gautney & Shirley; grandchildren, Brent Jowers & Mary, Natalie Jowers McCrummen & J W, Joshua Jowers, Callie Jowers Waldrop & Aaron, Mason Jowers & Kaitlin; 3 step grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 8 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Jowers; grandchildren, Lindsey Jowers and Brady Jowers; parents, Callie Lorene McKinney Gautney and Leon Gautney; and 4 siblings.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Gautney Jowers will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 1, 2024 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. John McCrummen will be officiating with Charles Day, Connor Jowers, Ashton Jowers, Jaden McCrummen, Jax McCrummen and Justin Crutchfield serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to DaySpring Hospice.
