Mrs. Betty C. Gautney, age 93, of Opp, Alabama passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in Mizell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Gautney is survived by her daughter, Paula Shiver; sons & daughters-in-law, Larry Gautney & Jessica, and Billy Gautney & Lisa; sisters, Pat Presley & husband, Dan, and Daisy Martin; grandchildren, Scotty Shiver & Sarah, Holley Gautney Tew, Hope Gautney Barton & Maurice, Aaron Gautney & Andrea, Zachary Gautney & Kavita, and Joanna Gautney Chan & Julian; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, F. N. Gautney; sister, Nell Smith; and parents, Lena Young Cotney and Oliver Odell Cotney.

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty C. Gautney will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 15, 2022 from the Opp Church of Christ with burial following in Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Trey Pool and Mark Turner will be speaking. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Duffell, Richard Moore, Jay Mikel, Trippy McGuire, Gary Hall and Ralph Donaldson.
